Fish Porridge

Finally I have reached 8 month old and mummy thinks that it's about time to start porridge. Therefore she starts to go online and read about the methods for boiling stock, and cooking porridge. And of course I will defintely praise her for her efforts, as she used to be one who dun like to cook, but now, she will make effort to wake up early and prepare delicious porridge for my lunch ..... Thumb up for mummy's porridge !

Ingredient for the vegetable stock :

1. 1 carrot
2. 2 white potato
3. 1 sweet corn

Method :

1. Remove the skin of the carrot and cut into cubes
2. Remove the skin of the white potato and cut into cubes
3. Remove the skin of the corn and cut into 3 portions
4. Wash them thoroughly
5. Use a small pot and put everything in and boil
6. Boil for 1 1/2hrs
7. After that, the vegetable stock is ready to be used

Ingredient for the porridge :

1. 3 small cubes of pumpkin
2. 1 cube of threadfin fish
3. 3 small cubes of potato
4. 1 handful of rice

Method :

1. Soak the rice for 45mins before cooking porridge
2. After that, use the vegetable stock to cook porridge in the slow cooker
3. To cook porridge for 2hrs
4. Wash and steam pumpkin for 15mins
5. Wash and steam threadfin fish for 10mins
6. Remove the potato from the vegetable stock and mash them
7. Wait for the pumpkin and threadfin to cool down
8. Mash the pumpkin and threadfin fish
9. Place them into the slow cooker and boil for another 10mins
10. Porridge ready to be served
