Mummy's birthday

Time flies, as last year this time, I was preggie with Rayden, and I looked so fat. And this year, Rayden is soon turning 1 year old next month, and I have also slimmed down quite alot of weight, left another 3kg more. During this 1 year, there have been many changes to my life. With Rayden in my life, it has been more tiring, but of course, filled with laughter and joys and I am happy to be here to witness his growth and development. All I wish for my birthday is that he will grow up to be a Healthy and Happy Baby.

I am very contented to have Ronny, Rayden, my cousin, "Min" and of course, my buddies who are here to celebrate with me every year without fail. Without them, I dun know what I will be today. Special thanks to Cheraline and Adeline, and they have been my pillar and support throughout these years, and always be there to celebrate my BIG day with me.

And also, not forgetting a group of great pals that I have, from colleagues to pals (Leance, Karen, Eileen, Amy and Christine), who will also celebrate my birthday for me without fail. I am really very touched, as now, we are all in different companies, but we still make a point to meet up, sit down and gossip for hours, arrange for fun trips and behave crazy.

Lastly, it will be the group of mummies whom I have known, for the past 11 months. I would like to thank them for their warmest wishes. I am glad that I have known them, as being a first time mummy, there are thousand and one things for me to learn, and without them, I think I will be a "ka ran ka bo" mummy. They have given me alot of tips and advices during this period, and we all enjoy being "kiasu" mummies, exchanging tips and sharing our babies' growth.

Birthday Celebration for Mummy

Last Saturday, Aunty Cheraline, Aunty Adeline and Uncle Gerald came over to our place to celebrate mummy's birthday. Evey year without fail, they will definitely remember and celebrate birthday for mummy, and very soon, they are able to compile a 10-years series album to mark their friendship. However Uncle Gerald's camera has been pickpocketed during his trip to Spain, and some of the photos were lost. Luckily there are still some photos with Uncle Jack, and at least they still have some photos as memories.

My New Tricycle

Mummy has always wanting to get me a tricycle, with 2 functions --- she can push me around and control the direction, and also, when I get older, I can cycle on my own. Just so happened that Aunty Adnes has got good deal for it, and so, she only paid $30 for it, together with a walker at $20, which she put at grandma place. This is to keep me occupied when I am at grandma place.

This afternoon, mummy brought me to JG trial class at Evan Road. The lesson is 1hr 30mins, and overall, mummy feels that I do enjoy myself, as the lesson was quite interactive among the babies and teachers, and most importantly, I love the music lesson very much as there was a guitarist to play for us during the lesson.

Meeting my friend, BB Kyle

Finally, I managed to meet up with my friend, BB Kyle and Aunty Cristian as they were previously staying in Perth. We are supposed to be borned in the same month, however as I was in breeched position, mummy has decided to bring me to the world earlier. So I am a few days old than BB Kyle. But look at our size, he is so much bigger size although he is younger than me, and guessed what, he is drinking 240ml milk for his morning feed ......... Wow, mummy is filled with envy, hoping that I can also do it one day.

And for the first time, mummy has decided to let me try McDonald Hotcakes , and Yummy ..... Yummy, I like it, but this round, I have it plain, no honey or butter. Mummy said that when I get older, she will let me try with butter.

High-tea at Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel

Yesterday, mummy brought 外婆 to Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel to have high-tea, as last Friday, it was her birthday. Due to work, mummy has decided to celebrate the occassion on Saturday instead. I took a long nap during the journey there, so I was also enjoying myself looking around while they were enjoying their food. Yummy ............... mummy said they serve very nice durian puff.

Milestones that I have reached during my 10th month

Last month, mummy has forgotten to reach my 9th month milestone as she has been busy with work and looking after me. So she make sure that she is going to record down every single details of my milestones this month.

Here are some of the milestones that I have achieved :
* able to stand well with support
* able to sit well without support
* able to identify shapes
* able to clap and do Hi5 signs when asked
* able to swallow food without blending
* stretch out for close ones like daddy and mummy
* able to grab small objects and transfer hands
* able to sleep on my own without mummy's patting
* able to take simple instructions like "No, Cannot"

Standing with support

This afternoon, I have given daddy and mummy a surprise, they have left me in my playpen to do their own things. When daddy came into the room, he was surprised to me standing with the support from my side of my playpen and happily playing. He quickly shouted out to mummy to come in and see my latest milestone. And since then, I have been trying to stand whenever I can reach out for support. Although mummy is happy that I am making progress, she is also worried that she will be more busy in future, to look out for me.

Kindermusik Trial Lessons

For 2 weeks, mummy has brought me to Kindermusik for trial lessons, with my friends. She has decided for 2 trial lessons as she wants to see if I have any improvement from the 1st trial lesson, and also whether I will be more responsive to the lesson.

Indeed, Teacher Angeline commented that there are improvements from me after the 2nd lesson, and I am also more responsive. Mummy is so happy and decide to sign me up for the lessons. There will be 8 lessons in per term, every Sunday. She is hoping that my friends will also sign up as well, so that we can form a private class on our own.

My New Toy

Last week, mummy has went shopping with Aunty Lynn, Aunty Angela and Aunty Mona as there was Robinson sales. Under the persuasion from the aunties, mummy has decided to buy the Playskool Busy Basic - Step Start Walk and Ride for me. However she only managed to open up this new toy one week later for me, as she has not been feeling well, and every night when we returned from grandma place, I was almost to my dreamland. So finally I have got a chance to play with it last Thursday.

Luckily, there are many functions, as I only like to ride in it for awhile, and for most of the time, I prefer to play with the toys attached to it, if not, I prefer to stand and use it as push walker.

Mummy is sick

It's has been awhile since mummy has last updated my progress, as she is down with sever cough and flu. Although she has seen the doctor twice, she has not recover completely, still coughing away, especially at night. That's why she is quite tired at night to post my progress. And also, she has been enduring to sleep with fan, instead of aircon as she is worried that she might pass the virus to me. let's pray and hope that mummy will recove soon.
